Tbilisi International Airport has expanded its European network with the introduction of a new direct route to Copenhagen. As of June 27, Norwegian Airlines has commenced scheduled operations on the Tbilisi–Copenhagen–Tbilisi route. During the current summer season, flights will operate twice weekly, every Wednesday and Saturday.
Norwegian successfully operated its inaugural Copenhagen–Tbilisi–Copenhagen flight using a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Demand for the inaugural service was exceptionally strong, with all 186 seats occupied on the flight arriving in Tbilisi from Copenhagen.
To mark the occasion, the first passengers were welcomed with a symbolic celebratory ceremony organized by TAV Georgia, the operator of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports.
The launch of this route represents a historic milestone, as it is the first-ever direct air connection between the capitals of Georgia and Denmark. The new service further strengthens Tbilisi International Airport’s connectivity with Europe and offers passengers a convenient new travel option to Scandinavia.
Norwegian is one of Scandinavia’s leading airlines, operating a modern fleet of more than 90 aircraft. The carrier serves over 300 routes to more than 120 destinations, with its principal bases located across the Scandinavian countries
