At Tbilisi International Airport, which is managed by TAV Georgia, the airline EasyJet has commenced operations. The first flight from Geneva, operated by an Airbus A320, has already landed in Tbilisi, bringing its first passengers.
“TAV Georgia places great emphasis on the development of new routes from the country’s primary airport. It is important for us that Georgian citizens have access to direct flights to European destinations from Tbilisi International Airport. Therefore, it is of utmost significance that EasyJet’s new destination is Tbilisi, connecting our capital with three major European cities—Geneva, Milan, and London—via direct flights. These flights will operate twice a week. TAV Georgia’s team is doing everything possible to adapt to the challenges presented by the unprecedented increase in passenger traffic and to provide the highest quality service to the airlines,” stated the General Manager of TAV Georgia, Tea Zakaradze.
As of today, March 31, EasyJet Switzerland has started operations, with flights on the Geneva-Tbilisi-Geneva route operating twice a week, every Monday and Thursday. Starting April 1, EasyJet UK will operate regular flights on the Tbilisi-London-Tbilisi route, also twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Additionally, starting April 1, EasyJet Europe Airline BmbH will operate flights on the Milan-Tbilisi-Milan route, twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday.
EasyJet is one of the airlines connecting Tbilisi International Airport to European cities starting from the summer navigation season. In 2025, Shota Rustaveli International Airport will welcome eight new airlines.
Thanks to the development of new routes and effective cooperation with airlines, Tbilisi International Airport has been ranked among the top five airports in Europe with passenger traffic of up to five million by the influential platform “Routes Europe 2025.”
