China Southern Airlines returned to the Georgian market after a three-year pause caused by pandemic. The Chinese airline performed the first flight from Urumqi to Tbilisi today.

The management of TAV Georgia and representatives of China Southern Airlines attended the event at Tbilisi International Airport.

During the winter navigation season China Southern Airlines will fly once a week on Fridays on the route Urumqi-Tbilisi-Urumqi and in case of demand, is going to increase the frequencies during the summer season.

78 passengers were on the board of the Urumqi-Tbilisi flight; 35 people departed from Tbilisi to Urumqi.

The airline performed its last flight to Tbilisi in January of 2020.
