The General Manager of TAV Georgia, Tea Zakaradze, hosted the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Georgia, Meline Arakelian.
During the face-to-face meeting, the diplomat was introduced to the Tbilisi International Airport expansion project. The parties also discussed prospects for further development of air connectivity between the Netherlands and Georgia.
Following the meeting, the Ambassador toured the airport’s infrastructure and passenger service areas. She was also briefed on Tbilisi International Airport’s baggage handling system, which operates using equipment from the globally renowned Dutch company Vanderlande.
For reference, two airlines currently operate flights from Tbilisi International Airport to the Netherlands. Flights between Tbilisi and Amsterdam are operated by the Georgian airline Georgian Airways and the Dutch airline Transavia.
