The annual aviation forum, Connect 2025, was held in Girona, Spain, where the marketing department of TAV Airports represented Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports.

Meetings were held with more than 20 airlines, some of which already operate at Tbilisi and Batumi airports, while others are set to launch operations during the upcoming summer navigation season. Additionally, introductory meetings were conducted with three European airlines to discuss potential future collaborations. These airlines were provided with information on the potential and services of Tbilisi and Batumi airports.
Currently, 54 airlines operate at Tbilisi International Airport, while 28 airlines operate at Batumi Airport. Notably, during the summer navigation season, four additional European airlines will commence flights from Tbilisi Airport: British Airways, EasyJet, Transavia France and Edelweiss.
The Connect Aviation forum is one of the most significant networking events in the global aviation sector, facilitating connections between airlines, airports, tourism providers, ground operators, aircraft manufacturers, and various aviation service providers. This platform has existed for over 20 years, offering valuable opportunities for networking and establishing new partnerships.
This year’s forum mainly focused on current trends in aviation, emphasizing challenges arising in aviation and tourism amid the geopolitical climate. A dedicated discussion was also held on the Eastern European aviation market.
