The Tbilisi and Batumi International airports saw record-high passenger flow in July, which was a historical maximum. Only in the month of July, Tbilisi International Airport served 519,275 passengers, which is 29% more than in the same period last year. And Batumi International Airport transported 147,584 passengers, which exceeds the data of 2023 by 48%.
The previous record passenger service rate was observed in Tbilisi and Batumi airports in August 2018, with 461,161 passengers in Tbilisi and 121,295 passengers in Batumi. The data for July 2024 exceeded these previous record numbers.
In 2005, when TAV Georgia started operating in Georgia, the annual rate of passenger flow at Tbilisi International Airport was 547,150, and at Batumi Airport in 2007 (8-months data) it was 39,762 passengers.
