At Tbilisi International Airport, which is operated by TAV Georgia, British Airways has commenced its operations.
Starting today, direct flights between Tbilisi and London Heathrow Airport will be operated four times a week. The Airbus A320neo, owned by the United Kingdom’s largest airline, has already brought the first passengers from London to Tbilisi.
“It is very important for us that passengers at Tbilisi International Airport are now connected to London Heathrow through a direct flight. This creates great opportunities for travelers, and the service provided by such a high-level airline is both a great honor and a challenge for us. TAV Georgia continuously invests not only in the development of the infrastructure at Tbilisi and Batumi airports but also in creating the human resources that play a decisive role in service delivery and attracting new airlines. It is also worth noting the increased interest in our airport and the unprecedented growth in passenger traffic. In 2024, Tbilisi International Airport served over 4.7 million passengers. Starting in 2025, 13 new destinations will be added, and eight new airlines have chosen our airport as a new destination, including the United Kingdom’s largest airline,” stated TAV Georgia’s General Manager, Tea Zakaradze.
